The reason we work so hard is for my cats that left us in 2020. Our cats Jordan and Daisy passed one an street cat, another adoption. One cancer, another poison by a neighbor. They were both loved and were able to live good lives because they had families. After that, I took on a kitten and moved to Chicago. I found in my neighborhood, cats lived everywhere, especially in abandoned buildings. My kid fed them and I started to do that myself. I stated to wonder what happen when the building get teared down or remodeled. What happens when a bad winter comes. What happens when they eat bad food. No one was looking out for them. This is why I do this. My hope is that every cat on the Southside has a home. In 2022, we started helping animals with homes in my backyard now they're two-story cat houses. By the summer of 2023 there will be a cat patio outside to serve the cat colony outside.
